Investcorp Bank BSC, the Bahrain-based investment firm, has delayed a sale of Spanish ceramics-products maker Esmalglass SA, a person with knowledge of the matter said.
The investment firm had hired JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) to run the sale of the company, which was to start in September. That has been postponed until 2015 while Esmalglass introduces new products, the person said, asking not to be identified discussing a private matter.
The original transaction may have valued Villarreal, Spain-based Esmalglass at about 800 million euros ($1 billion), and the price will probably increase once new products are ready, the person said.
